On Friday, February 28, the Wall Street Journal published an insightful article by Anna Wilde Mathews on ‘Heath Plans Rush to Size Up Clients’.  In a nutshell, the article notes that “insurers are rushing to gather health information from the new customers they won” with the “hopes of profiting from the health-care law”.

Moreover, Ms. Wilde notes that healthcare plans need to discern the “health status of those signing up for coverage” so they can determine whether new clients are profitable.  The article is worth reading and explains very well, how health plans need a younger, healthy demographic, to balance out the costs of insuring older Americans.

As you are aware, medical billing and collection has become increasingly complex.  With considerable disruption to the entire healthcare industry, the value equation of medical billing outsourcing has continued to grow.  +PhysiciansBillingService is committed to your success by reducing medical billing costs and increasing physician cash flow.  We would be glad to assist you in navigating this complex medical billing environment.
